
TEMS Product Services is
a new collection of services
that enables operators
worldwide to put the right
tools and solutions in place
and to use them at maximum
productivity. Emphasis in
this first release is on the
operation of TEMS products.
Today as never before, operators rely
on sophisticated monitoring tools to
maintain high network quality. Effective
use of those tools requires knowledge
both of the tools themselves and of
the various network technologies and
services involved. However, opera-
tors have limited resources to develop
advanced competencies in-house
regarding testing tools and the many
functions related to them.
TEMS Product Services packages
combine a selection of standard com-
ponents with custom-crafted solutions
to best serve the operator’s objectives.
TEMS remote-delivery centers are
prepared to provide multi-customer
and multi-vendor solutions with stan-
dardized procedures using a generic
organizational model. Packages can
include end-to-end capabilities ranging
from needs analysis through hosting to
operational support.
TEMS Product Services capabilities are
built on three major support modules:
Project Support, Operations Support,
and Services Support.
Project Support incorporates a wide
range of components designed to
assist the customer throughout a proj-
ect’s lifecycle, end to end, beginning
with the business requirements and
continuing through planning, establish-
ment, and execution.
Operations Support manages back-
office systems and applications func-
tions. The customer benefits from the
extensive experience of dedicated
TEMS IS/IT and applications profes-
sionals with specific expertise in the
TEMS environment.
Services Support manages the
front-office functions responsible for
resolving hosting and application is-
sues within a specific project. These
include configuration requests during
implementation as well as subsequent
configuration changes during delivery.
Based on operators’ requirements,
the first release of TEMS Product
Services is available in two packages:
Application Hosting Services and On-
Demand Services.
Application Hosting Services are
designed for operators who own
TEMS products and wish to use them
most effectively. Under a long-term
contract, tool operations are handled
at a professional TEMS NOC facility,
leaving the operator’s technical staff
free to concentrate on core business
activities. Customers have full remote
access to their TEMS products’ reports
and data, just as if the tools were
self-managed. With Application Host-
ing Services, operators benefit from
ensured reliability, lower OPEX, and
maximized tool performance.
On-Demand Application Services
follow a subscription model providing
short-term access to tool-generated
data, operational expertise, and advisory
support. This category of offering is
ideal for operators seeking in-depth
information regarding KPIs, mea-
surement-collection data, and probe
performance. These packages deliver
suites of reports for easy, accurate,
and cost-effective network evaluation.
TEMS supplies the most powerful test-
ing solutions on the market, delivering
the most complete and accurate per-
formance data. Now TEMS Product
Services packages provide the experi-
ence and expertise necessary to fully
capitalize on the data collected and
the operator’s investment in tools.
